Created using a flatbed scanner, these images explore the conflict between the portrait and the anti-portrait and the transformative possibilities of the face. 1500 portraits were generated through a deliberately repetitive and compulsive physical process using materials such as clay, milk, soil, hair, wine, ink and paint. Each image is the result of a unique 15 second performance against the glass.
