Liz met Dr Simon Park, Senior Lecturer in Microbiology at University of Surrey in 2010.
Working with the individual characteristics of skin, they used UV with the face creating shroud-like prints, and grew bacteria from the soles of Liz's feet to create intricate miniature worlds which later crystalised.
